I believe that every STUDENT can learn
I believe every student come to us with different challenge and
skills that can be directed into a positive and successful future
I believe in equity, not equality. Every student, parent, and educator
has their own unique needs that require differentiated support
That ALL students will develop the skills and knowledge to be
successful in higher education and career including the security and
confidence to make healthy lifelong decisions.
To provide the resources and opportunities for all students to learn
and grow academically, physically, and socio-emotionally.
Institute high quality instructional practices
Establish programs to support learning, equity, social-emotional
growth, and safety
Provide a safe campus with clear schoolwide expectations that are
supported by all staff members
Hold common and high expectations for learning and behavior
I was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and raised by a single father who
was a 30 year veteran who served in the WWII, Vietnam, and Korean
I was raised in the farmland of Central California from the age of 8
I have three amazing adult children.
I am married into a Portuguese family and al of my children learned
Portuguese and I learned it too so I understood the culture.
My in-laws lived with me for 20 years and spoke very little English,
and I wouldn't trade if for the world even through tough times.
I am a true nerd at heart. I love all things about computers and
learning. I was originally a computer science major but chose a
career in teaching because I have a passion for learning an I love to
see students grow into themselves.
